Cleaning with Vinegar

I have adapted to using vinegar in so many cleaning projects and actually have a spray bottle of it next to my sink for frequent use through out the day.  I use a few drops of my favorite  essential oils ( lavender, mint , sweet orange or lemon) mixed in the bottle to mask the vinegar smell.

One of my main uses for vinegar is combating odors, I HATE odor!  Believe it or not I have used vinegar on my carpet and furniture , the vinegar does not leave it’s smell after it dries.

Here is a list I have started-  feel free to add your own vinegar tips in the comments box.

*use only white vinegar for cleaning

Window Cleaning- use in spray bottle

Laundry- add to wash cycle for odors, add to rinse cycle instead of fabric softener.

Kitchen Clean up- counters, greasy stove

Floor Cleaning- mix with water for no-wax  and ceramic tile floors

Coffee Maker & Pot Cleaner- fill water resevoir halfway and brew the vinegar just like you were making a pot.

Dishwasher- use in the rinse aid dispenser to stop spotting

Microwave- place a small bowl of water with some vinegar for  a couple of minutes to loosen food and wipe clean.
